No more travel restrictions for Luxor and Upper Egypt

by Jane Akshar on 11 Nov, 13

Map of EgyptOn Friday the British FCO removed any restrictions on travel to Luxor and Upper Egypt, in fact nearly all of Egypt is marked as green, no restrictions and Cairo airport has no restriction as a transit stop.

To be honest the travel advice is them covering themselves because not a single tourist has been harmed during all the troubles, which were confined to a tiny area of Cairo. It is like not going to Scotland because Brixton had a riot.

However travel insurance was restricted which meant Luxor didn’t see many tourists, so the lifting of this restriction is very good news.

Flats in Luxor would like to welcome tourists back and we hope you have a wonderful visit.
