Here are some reviews from our guests. There are more on tripadvisor.com if you would like to read them.

Upon our arrival at the airport, Jane, the owner, gladly welcomed met us and then took us to Arkwright to stock up on groceries.

Along the way to her Al Gezera property, she was our cheerful guide, giving us an orientation of the area.

As we already had all our tours pre-arranged, we only needed a beautiful and affordable lodging in Luxor, so for its price it was just the perfect base for our sigthseeing.

The Horus flat on the top floor is roomy and gorgeous, with 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, large arched living room, furnished kitchen, and free internet service.

There’s no elevator, but a local guardian of the property will help carry your load, for a baksheesh, of course.

The flats are perfect for families or groups on vacation. The top floor affords you of nice views of the green surrounding-good feeling to wake up to in the morning.

From the semi-wrap-around balcony facing the street, you can enjoy the early morning spectacle of the colorful hot air balloons, and in the evening the bright lights of Hatshepsut mortuary temple.

All the rooms have a/c and a ceiling fan in the living room.

Being on the top floor, it was uncomfortably hot during the day in the living room, as there was heat wave at the time of our visit in October.

Fortunately, there is a swimming pool to cool you down from the oppressive heat, especially after a day’s exhausting tour of the temples and tombs.

The location is just a short walking exercise to the grocery, as well as the shuttle boats to the East Bank of the Nile River.

Private boats can be hired for LE 10-15 or you can take the local ferry for only LE 2. The shuttle boat only takes like a little less than 5 minutes to cross the river.

Thank you, Jane! We were delighted to have found your place, though only for a brief stay. Maybe, we’ll come back someday.
